Lettering, privacy and pictures for the glass

For your name, logo and opening hours there is cut vinyl lettering: every letter is cut from solid-colour cast film, nothing is printed, and the glass stays clear between the letters. Many shops use opening-hours stickers on the door – with cut film, a single line can be swapped later. Frosted glass film is the classic privacy film: it blocks the view, lets the light in and comes as a strip, a full pane or cut-out lettering.

For window advertising with photos, colour areas and gradients there is printed self-adhesive vinyl, white or clear. One-way vision film turns the whole pane into advertising space: outside, people see your design; inside, you keep your view out. A window flag with a suction cup adds a small eye-catcher. All films can be combined – a privacy strip below and your name above it, for example.

Which film for what: inside, outside, short or long term

Cut vinyl lettering is rated for up to 8 years outdoors and works on the outside or the inside of the glass: outside for the strongest effect, inside where cleaning or vandalism matter – it is then cut mirrored so it reads correctly from the street. Frosted film is an interior film and lasts up to 8 years there. One-way vision goes on the outside and lasts up to 3 years; with the lights on inside after dark, the effect reverses and people can see in.

For a promotion, a season or a rented shop window there is removable printed vinyl that peels off without leaving glue behind; for anything meant to stay, permanent film. A laminate protects prints outdoors and on glass against sun, scratches and cleaning.

What to send us

For window film, measure the glass edge to edge in centimetres, width and height; a full pane is cut 2–3 mm smaller so it fits inside the frame. A photo of the window helps with planning and installation. Type your text straight into the online calculator and pick a typeface; a logo to be cut needs a vector file (PDF, AI or SVG) with outlines. Photos and screenshots cannot be cut – they are printed on self-adhesive vinyl. If your logo only exists as an image, it can be redrawn on request.

Pickup, delivery and installation in Berlin

Cut lettering and frosted-film lettering come weeded and on application tape if you choose it: position, squeegee, peel. Before the film goes on, the glass is cleaned and degreased so dust and lime spots do not show under it. Collect your order at Lessingstraße 81, 13158 Berlin, or have it sent by courier in Berlin and by parcel anywhere in Germany. Installation in every Berlin district is available on request; an on-site measuring visit carries a travel fee, which you learn before the appointment.
