Boards to size and finished signs
The basis is three board materials, UV-printed directly and cut to size: Forex® PVC foam board in 3, 5 or 10 mm, also black all the way through as Black Forex®, Dibond Budget as a 3 mm aluminium composite panel, and acrylic – clear, frosted or opaque white. A shaped cut, milled letters, drill holes or a coating can be added on request.
Finished signs are available on request: the company sign on Alu-Dibond, the reverse-printed acrylic glass sign for receptions and foyers, door and room signs with an optional insert system, house number signs, engraved doorbell and letterbox plates, hanging signs, construction site signs for fences and scaffolding, warning and safety signs, and parking and property signs.
Which material indoors and outdoors?
A Forex sign is light and rigid – right for indoors and for sheltered spots outside, such as under a roof or in a passage; in full sun and rain PVC foam can bow over time. For anything exposed to the weather, Alu-Dibond is the board: it does not rot or swell and stays flat in heat and frost. The Alu-Dibond company sign is rated for 10 years and more outdoors.
Acrylic gives the print depth and gloss and is the choice for receptions, law firms and practices – indoors and in sheltered outdoor spots. For a construction site sign on a project of over 2 years, Alu-Dibond is recommended; PVC foam suits shorter phases. Engraved signs stay legible because the lettering is worked into the material and cannot fade.
Artwork, sizes and photos
Send us the size, the quantity and your artwork, ideally as a PDF, otherwise as AI, EPS or SVG, with fonts converted to outlines; images need 100–150 dpi at final size. For a shaped cut, the outline belongs in the file. Add drill holes when you order – on acrylic they sit 15 mm from the edge, ready for standard stand-offs. A photo of the wall or facade helps with size and fixing. Without a print-ready file, design is available on request, from the logo to the print file.
Fixing and installation in Berlin
Signs are fixed with screws through drill holes, on stand-offs, on rails or with strong tape on a smooth surface; construction site signs with fence clamps, hanging signs on chains or steel wires. Collect your sign at Lessingstraße 81, 13158 Berlin, or receive it by courier in Berlin and by parcel in Germany. Installation in every Berlin district is available on request; an on-site measuring visit carries a travel fee, which you learn before the appointment. Larger signs on a facade may need a permit from the district office.

Forex, Alu-Dibond or acrylic – which one fits?
Forex for indoors and sheltered spots outside – light and easy to drill. Alu-Dibond for anything that gets sun and rain. Acrylic when the sign should have depth and gloss, at a reception desk or as a practice sign in the hallway, for example.
Which sign lasts outdoors?
Alu-Dibond: the aluminium composite panel is weatherproof and stays flat in heat and frost; the Alu-Dibond company sign is rated for 10 years and more outdoors. A matt, gloss or anti-graffiti coating protects the print further. Forex and acrylic belong only in sheltered spots outside.
How is a sign fixed?
With screws through drill holes, on stand-offs for a floating look, on rails or with strong tape on a smooth surface. Add the drill holes when you order and they are placed for you; hanging signs hang on chain or steel-wire kits.
Can I send my finished design?
Yes. Upload your file in the online calculator or attach it to your request – ideally as a PDF with fonts converted to outlines. If the logo only exists as an image, it can be redrawn on request.
